U.S.: Agudath Israel postponed annual conference

Due to the security situation in Israel and the hurricane damage of Hurricane Sandy Agudath Yisrael in the U.S. decided to postpone the event of the traditional gathering of the 90th assembly

The security situation in Israel and Hurricane Sandy – from which the US is still licking its wounds U.S. - led Agudath Israel of America to postpone this year's annual convention, which is the 90th.

Agudath Israel of America conducts its annual meeting on the date of Thanksgiving which comes every year on 22-25 of November. The reason: these days are public holidays in the U.S., and the Haredi community can participate in the conference.

Every year guests from all over the world arrive at the convention, and it is held in a luxury hotel, where the highlight is the Melave Malka reached by guests from all over New York.

As mentioned, this week Agudath Israel announced that the convention will be postponed, and will take place the weekend of 17th Tevet in the luxurious Hilton Hotel in Brunswick, New Jersey.

President of Agudath Israel of America, Harav Chaim David Zvibl, sent a letter explaining that the decision was taken after consultation with Gedolei Torah.
