Salvador Peyron, a resident of Staten Island, 63, is the serial killer who murdered last Friday the Jewish store owner in Flatbush, and who murdered over the last few months two other shopkeepers.

Police Homicide department of New York, went into a frenzy last Saturday, when another Jewish store owner was murdered in Flatbush, in the same method that characterized the rest of the murders. It was the third murder committed by the killer, who managed to hide from the police - and intimidate shopkeepers in Brooklyn.

Haredi activists, led by City Council member R' David Greenfeld, exerted great pressure on the police to find the killer soon and take care he will be punished.

Indeed, the pressure worked, and police - in conjunction with the FBI collected the security tapes from crime scenes including the last, and the result was soon to follow: Yesterday (Wednesday) the police managed to capture the killer who was hiding in an apartment in Bay Ridge - not far from the areas where follow.

A search of the apartment found bullets matched the bullets found at the murder scene, as well as the gun itself.

Police rushed to hold a press conference, which posted a picture of the suspect in the murder, and residents of the area were relieved.
