Claims of irregularities in the election of community council today (Tuesday) in Jerusalem.

Throughout the day thousands of Jerusalemites flocked to the polls to elect representatives for 14 community administrations. But according to claims by Haredi representatives, there are irregularities in the election.

For example, in the Ramat Eshkol neighborhood there is a struggle between the orthodox candidate and the secular candidate whose representatives sought to disqualify the representative, for various reasons. Haredim, however, accuse the secular for the irregularities during the elections. Kosher voters were disapproved and extra difficulties were piled at orthodox voters.

Deputy Mayor Yossi Deitch told B'Chadrei Charedim that in the last few hours' orthodox representatives has documented that there are irregularities in other neighborhoods.

"There are sources that are doing everything possible to disturb the election of orthodox delegates and we will not stand for it," he said. "The Haredi public may not accept discrimination, and suffer inappropriate conduct, in order that there won't be a majority for haredi representatives."

Deitch and other council members complained to the court.

In addition, there were some conflicts in the elections in Har Nof, where there is a struggle between Haredim and the national religious public.
A few days ago the neighborhood rabbis including Ra'avad Reb Moshe Sternbuch sons, Rabbi David Yosef, Rabbi Shlomo Zafrani, Rabbi Yitzhak Mordechai HaCohen Rubin and others, signed a letter of support on the list of the general orthodox.

At the end of the week a message was sent out without the signature of the rabbis that the names of families were divided into two groups. Families whose name starts with A-K were instructed to vote for 5 specific representatives while families whose names start with L - Z were instructed to vote for the other 5 contestants.
The name of Zvi Berg, an independent Orthodox representative was mixed up in these lists. "It presented a false impression as if the representative's deal was negotiated by the rabbis," say various representatives to B'Chadrei Charedim.

Berg responded to the allegations and rejected them outright. In a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim, he says: "it is absurd to suggest that there is a suspected deception, lists distributed by us were not signed by anyone in any way, and the same way every person has the right to run, so do we."
