Hag"r Chaim Kanievsky in letter: "No bombs in Bnei Brak"
In a rarely long letter, published in his hand writing, R' Chaim Kanievsky writes: The promise of the Chazon Ish, that in Bnei Barak there will not be bombs - is also valid in 'Operation Amud Anan'

Any resident of Bnei Brak knows the promise of the Chazon Ish that "In Bnei Brak "there will not be bombs." Indeed, over the years attacks skipped over the city, and even the Scud missiles during the Gulf War reached its boundaries - but not land in it.
But is the promise still valid today?
In a letter published this morning (Monday) Hag"r Chaim Kanievsky writes that the promise is still valid:
"R' Shimon is worthwhile to count on in a time of need (Brochos 9a) and in the Sifri on Parshas Ekev par. 38 "It is no Kidush Hashem that the words of Tzadikim materialize during their lives, and are annulled after their death (and that cannot be). Therefore, when the Chazon Ish zt"l said in Bnei Brak there will not be bombs, as evidenced by Hagaon R' A. Tortzin zt"l, it will be realized today as well, and one should not fear at all. "
