With the marking of 50 years to the ptira of founder of 'Beis Midrash Gavoha – Lakewood', Hagaon R' Aharon Kotler zt"l, his grandson, Rosh Yeshiva of Lakewood, Harav Malkiel Kotler, visited last Thursday the Hasidic Rebbes of Novominsk, Babov, Monkatsch and others to invite them to the special rally which will be held tonight (Sunday) in Lakewood.
At the rally, the memory of the Rosh Yeshiva will be raised, and there will be an event of laying the cornerstone for the new Beis Midrash which the yeshiva is building, considered one of the largest in the world.
The event will also be attended by Harh"g R' Chaim Epstein, a student of R' Aharon Kotler zt"l, who delivered a Hesped at the yeshiva last Thursday, and on Shabbos he at the West Gate neighborhood in Lakewood.
About 20 thousand people are expected to participate, led by heads of yeshivas and Rebbes, and featuring many of the yeshiva's Talmidim throughout its generations.
A special preparatory committee was established for the operation of the event, working for several months on the logistics involved in absorbing tens of thousands at the place. Even the local police mobilized reinforcements to maintain order, and receiving thousands of cars and organized buses which are expected to come - starting in the afternoon – to Lakewood.
