New York police on Friday reinforced security at all Orthodox concentrations throughout New York, particularly at the shuls around Brooklyn.

New York police chief said that police did not receive any information warnings of intent to harm Jewish concentrations, but experience has taught that whenever there is tension in Israel, there have been events in New York for nationalistic reasons.

In Clarks town in Washington last Shabbos police arrested a 22 year old who had called two synagogues on Friday afternoon, Synagogue of Israel and the Torah Synagogue, and made threats against Jews if Israel does not stop bombing Gaza.

The synagogue Gabbai's contacted the police, who had followed the source of the calls and reached the youngster - who was arrested for questioning.

Meanwhile, on Erev Shabbos huge posters were hung in all Synagogues and Shuls throughout New York, calling upon Am Yisrael to pray for residents of the State of Israel.
