Hundreds of people accompanied tonight Mira Scharf hy"d to her burial, after she was killed by a rocket in Kiryat Malachi this morning. The funeral procession left from Shamgar funeral home to Har Hamenuchos in Jerusalem - where she was buried.

Close family members of Mira, her husband and children, were at that time in the hospital where they are hospitalized as patients. Shmuel, the father's condition improved slightly after undergoing difficult brain surgery at Sheba hospital.

The funeral was attended by hundreds of people, including many secular young people who visited the Kiruv center in recent years that the couple led in New Delhi, India.

One of the women who came with her husband stood weeping. In a conversation with a B'Chadrei Charedim reporter she said that during her trip to India, she was a guest at their home. "This is a hard day and I cannot say too much, she was an incredible woman who only wanted to help people."

One eulogy, Yehoshua Sharf, Mira's father in law, said: "This is a woman who was engaged 24 hours in helping Jews," he added, "on a regular Shabbos the couple hosted hundred guests, despite the fact that they themselves lived in sub-conditions. Today everyone wants proper conditions and they gave their lives, and were supposed to return to India on Channuka, after Mira gives birth, and replace the couple who took their place."

He said, yesterday he was at the embassy to arrange the final arrangements so that the couple could return to India.

Also a friend of Mira, Liba Crombie, spoke about her personality. "She became close to the Chabad Chassidus and became a symbol for many with her dedication and all her desire to give and do for all Jews, and help a Jew do another good deed and help in any way she can. She was a dedicated distributor for the Jewish people of Israel."
