Residents of Central Israel are opening the door for residents of the South. Due to the emergency situation in the south, with the opening of Operation Amud Anan, an initiative was started to host residents. Charity organizations and many individuals offer care for accommodation of the south residents.

Avi Ben Israel, a singer by profession, began mediating last night. "Until now, we have mediated 350 families who live in the south to families in the center", says Ben Israel. "The operation went on, as we speak, there are dozens of phone which I receive. Thank God we have people in Am Israel who want and are interested to give, and families who need to get. This is self-evident."

During our conversation, a call was received from a woman, a resident of Kiryat Sefer, who wants to host a family: "Here, I'll give you a number of a family," says Avi.

The Vizhnitz institutions in Elad invited members of the Hasidus from Ashdod and other cities in the south to stay in the Yeshiva buildings of Tzemach Tzedek and Yeshuos Moshe. Hosting included accommodation and Shabbos meals.

So too in urban centers in Jerusalem, Ramat Gan, Herzliya, Kfar Saba, Netanya and other cities, a service was operated to connect local residents and families in the south of the country. Families interested in adopting or to be hosted are encouraged to call the urban centers.

Students of Shiur He from a Hesder Yeshiva opened a Facebook group "Working for the residents of the South." As part of their activities, the Yeshiva students have achieved 150 accommodations for the upcoming Shabbos, including guest houses, hostels and family volunteers.

Gush Etzion Council also invites the residents of the South to visit its communities until the end of the escalation period. The Council will send armored buses to a number of locations in the South, to gather residents and disperse them among the host families.

Even the movement of 'Tov' in Beit Shemesh initiated hosting families in Beit Shemesh and the Jerusalem area. Host families in Beit Shemesh or families who wish to stay should contact the center at: 0544882116
Chaim Roash, deputy mayor of Nahariya, also opened a call center for families, and he turns to residents of the South who want to stay in Nahariya and the surroundings, please call: 050-6950560.
