Exclusive exposure: have you heard about the Achiezer party contesting for the Knesset?

A few people caught their breath tonight, some out of joy, and others out of shock. This was when the journalist Raviv Drucker dramatically published on Channel 10, that the 'Am Shalem' party- the party of MK Rabbi Chaim Amsalem – is not registered with the Registrar of political parties, and therefore cannot compete for the 19th Knesset elections.

The enemies of the former Shas member rejoiced, while his supporters (who are multiplying in recent days), were disappointed, and expected that it may turn out that Drucker was mistaken - what soon turned out to be the correct option.

But on the way, the debate over whether the 'Am Shalem' party can compete in the elections, revealed the real name of the party of MK Rabbi Chaim Amsalem. In a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim, he says: "Am Shalem is not registered with the Registrar of political parties, as the name of the party is Achiezer. This is a party that was already established in the past, with the blessing of the Rishon Lezion Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu ztvk"l, "he explains."Its goals are the same goals as the Am Shalem party, so in order to save the procedure - this party was selected and there is no legal problem with that."

"Before broadcasting," added MK Amsalem, "Drucker called me to receive my reaction, and I referred him to our legal advisor. Everyone can relax; the Am Shalem party will compete in the next election, and will bring major achievement and surprise. "

Concerning illegal donations, which the media reported, the Am Shalem party responded: "the party has not received any donations and is conducted according to law, with legal support of the Attorney Dr. Aviad Hacohen.

"Actions at the party (Achiezer) began two weeks ago, and party costs to date (two weeks) was financed by personal guarantees of Rabbi Chaim Amsalem."
