Beit Shemesh: child drowned in bath, passed away

Baruch Dayan Ha'emes: Binyamin Hirschfeld, 6 years old from Beit Shemesh. who drowned a week and a half ago at home, died a short while ago at the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem.
The boy's funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon in his hometown - Beit Shemesh.
Last week, on the evening of Thursday, he drowned in the bathtub on Ben Zakai street in Ramat Beit Shemesh, from a family of Breslev Hasidim, and was evacuated in a very harsh condition to hospital.
Medical personnel found the child without a pulse and not breathing, and performed a life-saving resuscitation. The boy was taken with a pulse when he anesthetized and ventilated.

Jerusalem police said that an initial investigation of the incident found that the child drowned during a game with his brother. The 6 year old boy and his 5-year-old brother competed "who will dive in the water for a longer time," the 6-year-old boy plunged in for too long. And when he didn't rise from the water, his brother alarmed his parents.
The Hatzala team wants to remind parents of the duty of care not to leave children unattended in the bath. Note they are in danger of slipping, injury or drowning.
