20-year-old orthodox girl severely injured in an accident in Jerusalem

A 20 year old orthodox girl was injured critically this morning on Hebron Road in Jerusalem.

At about 9:00 am, a minivan hit a pedestrian who was walking on the transport route, on Hebron Road in Talpiot Jerusalem.

Hatzalah volunteers and MDA medics were called and gave the victim first aid. Rescue teams began resuscitation and after several minutes, the girl was taken to the intensive care unit of the hospital, while continuing CPR actions, in critical condition.

Dvir Adani, a Hatzalah medic, said: "The girl is suffering from severe head injury and was severely hit by a vehicle driving on the transportation route. I and other medics made a lengthy resuscitation until the arrival of the MICU who evacuated her, while continuing resuscitation all the way to the hospital, Hadassah Ein Kerem".

A preliminary examination of the circumstances of the accident showed that the girl apparently crossed the public transport route and not on the crossroad.

Police are investigating.

Please pray for the girl Chana Bat Miriam, for a Refuah Shleima.
