Chase in Meah Shearim: Motorcyclist without a license was caught

In the afternoon, a motorcyclist, driving without a license was arrested in the Meah Shearim neighborhood in Jerusalem, following a lengthy chase within the ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods.

The motorcyclist, who belongs to 'Shuvu Banim', drove wildly and endangered the passengers on the road as well as pedestrians. Police asked him to stop for review, but he refused - and escaped.

Officers chased after him, and when the driver came to Meah Shearim Street at the entrance to the neighborhood of Shomrei Emunim, he was arrested and detained by the police, until the arrival of more police forces. He was taken in for questioning.

Meyer, one of dozens of onlookers who crowded the place, told B'Chadrei Charedim: "I do not understand how a youngster with no license can get up on a vehicle and drive off, he is capable of killing. I do not want to think what could have happened if he hit someone and injured him, or worse. How dare he hold the steering wheel if he has no licensed? It is no less dangerous than having a loaded gun! A person driving without a license passes on 'Thou shall not kill! ..."
