"There is evidence" • extended detention for men who kidnapped orthodox boy

The Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court extended today (Tuesday) the arrest of eight suspects in the kidnapping and imprisonment of the orthodox boy from Jerusalem.
In brief discussions held with the suspects, Judge Menachem Mizrachi extended their arrest for up until 6 days.
The suspects who were brought to the extension of detention: Charlie Abutbul who serves as head of a criminal organization, Yitzhak Gabai, the son of the late Rabbi Gabbai from Netanya, Amjad Aweideh, Iyad Aweideh, Rafael Meimon, Pinchas Cohen and Rami Abutbul.
Rami Abutbul apparently cooperated with the police and therefore was remanded until Friday only, and will then be released to house arrest whilst depositing financial guarantees.
The judge based his decision if there is any dramatic development relating to the investigation, the decision will be canceled and will be discussed further.
However, the arrest of Charlie Abutbul, in whose house the violence took place was extended by 6 days.
Even the arrest of Yitzchak Gabay, another suspect involved in the kidnapping, was extended by 6 days. This is the third time the police ask for the extension of detention - and the court agreed.
A source involved in the details of the investigation told that Gabbai is in the midst of the case and there is concrete evidence against him.
Also the hearing for demand of extending Rafael Meimon's arrest was short-lived. He, too, was brought today for the third time for a discussion concerning his arrest and it was decided that the detention will be extended by 6 days. A source involved in the details of the investigation said that the evidence against Meimon is increasing with each day that goes by.
The arrests of the other suspects were also extended by 6 days.
Further hearing on the case will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon.
Up until now between 15 and 17 suspects involved in the case were arrested, interrogated and investigated by the police.
Last night Rabbi Meir Fadida from Rechasim, who from his home the amount of 900,000 shekels - so to speak was stolen - by the orthodox boy who was kidnapped and imprisoned in house arrest for 10 days, was released
The arrest of David Fadida and Chananya Gabbay, was extended Monday through Thursday. Abutbul's wife, Sonia, was released to house arrest a few days ago. Yesterday, the court released Gil Abutbul, Charlie's son, under house arrest.
