Shortly after leaving the weekly 'B'Kehilla', the legendary editor Benyamin Lipkin surprised today (Tuesday), as he signed the daily 'Hamevaser', which he will serve as editor.

Lipkin, 39-year-old resident of Lod, previously wrote several books - began his journalism career in the 'Kfar Chabad' newspaper, he then moved to 'Yom Shishi', followed by magazine 'Mispacha Tovah' for the orthodox family, which he abandoned in favor of 'B'Kehilla'.

In the B'Kehilla Lipkin served as chief editor for twelve and a half years, and his resignation - two months ago - shocked the journalism sector, and severely hurt the newspaper - which Lipkin left his mark on.

As mentioned, after unsuccessful negotiations with the 'Hamodia' newspaper, Lipkin closed with its much younger rival - Hamevaser, where he will serve as editor, alongside Yom Tov Rubin who will continue to serve as chief editor. His appointment may give Hamevaser significant advantage over 'Hamodia'.

He will also write a daily column six times a week.

His friends speak of a warm and dedicated professional, who treats his employees with sensitivity, but also required professionalism. "This is the best choice that 'Hamevaser' has performed, there is no doubt that the results will stand out in the paper in the near future," promised the newspaper.
