An end to the Bikur Cholim saga?
After an agreement with the Ministry of Health, and vigorous activity by Deputy Minister Yaakov Litzman hospital staff at Bikur Cholim received within the last hour, the balance for the month of September (30%).
In addition, the hospital management has announced that they will make every effort to pay the full salary in the coming months.
Litzman also met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his office, and informed him of the progress in the negotiations for transferring Bikur Cholim to Shaarei Tzedek.
Following the announcement of the completion of the wages, the employees union has announced that they are returning to work regularly in all departments, standard format.
Roni Amram, union chairman, said in a letter sent to employees: "We decided to return to work, following an Executive Committee to transfer 30% of our wages to our bank accounts. Out of responsibility for the sick and all those who wish to give birth in our hospital, and out of hope that we will not have to encounter a similar situation in the near future - we decided to return to work.
"We call on all patients to return to our hospital. Our hospital staffs are prepared to treat all patients in need."
