An air raid siren was sounded this morning (Wednesday) for a few minutes, at about 11:00 in Elad, Rosh Haayin and the area, causing panic among residents.
After a brief investigation it was made clear that this is a false alarm.
Volunteer Hatzalah medics from the Elad branch gave medical treatment to a 50 year old woman who fell as a result of running to a secure area and suffered a leg injury. They also dealt with two girls (former Southern residents) who suffered from anxiety due to hearing the alarm.
Victims were evacuated for further medical treatment.
Home Front Command said that a technical malfunction caused the alarm system to activate and opened an investigation on the matter.
