Eight days before the U.S. election, and a new survey says that the Republican candidate, Mitt Romney leads President Barack Obama by 2% in the key state of Ohio.
According to a telephone survey conducted by Rasmussen polling, Romney gets 50% of the country's potential votes, while Obama gets 48% of the vote. 1% of respondents prefer another candidate, while 1% has not yet decided who to give their vote to.
The results differ from two other polls released in recent days in Ohio: In one survey Barack Obama wins Mitt Romney 50% -49%, and in the second survey the president is with 51% support, compared to 47% to the Republican candidate.
Ohio is considered one of the key states in the race, along with Florida, Pennsylvania and other states. According to the commentator's opinion, whoever wins Ohio – will probably win the whole race.
This is the first time in recent months that Romney is leading Obama in Ohio. Both candidates are in close battle in the country since August, the results which may decide the race.
