Tragedy in London: Hagaon Rabbi Yitzchak Ozer (Itzche) Rosengarten zt"l, Belzer Yeshiva Ketana Rosh Yeshiva in the city, passed away at the age of 59, following a heart attack.
The deceased, was born to his father, Hagaon Rabbi Shmuel Rosengarten, Belzer Rosh Yeshiva and member of Badatz, 'Machzikei Hadas'.
"He was a tremendous Talmid Chacham and devoted his life to Torah, he was a supreme chassidish figure who didn’t enjoy Olam Hazeh", the community members in London recall.
A few years ago he was chosen to lead as Rosh Yeshiva of the Belzer Yeshiva Ketana, following the previous Rosh Yeshiva-Hagaon Rabbi Yaakov Firrer's leave to Israel.
"Despite his heart condition", one of his students recalls, "he would arrive at the Yeshiva which was the apple of his eye. All he wanted was to bring up students to Torah and Yiras Shamayim."
Even this morning he arrived at shul for Shacharis, but following the davening his heart stopped.
The Levaya will take place this evening (Sunday) at 18:00 at the Belzer Beis Medrash on St. Kildas Road and tomorrow morning (Monday) his levaya will leave the Belzer Beis Medrash in Jerusalem and he will be buried in the Belzer Rabbanim's lot in Har Hamenuchos.
