18 month old fell from six floors - and injured only moderately

Miracle in Har Nof: a baby of about 18 months, fell from a height of six stories on Shaulzon street in the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem - and was moderately wounded. He was taken to the intensive care unit of Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital.

The child suffers bleeding in the spleen, liver and stomach, and several broken ribs.

Menachem Miller, MDA medic and ambulance driver of 'Hachovesh Har Nof', told Behadrey Haredim that the baby fell, apparently from a balcony or window on the sixth floor, on a gravel surface.

"When I got there, I saw the boy's mother screaming for help. Along with other medics baby we provided primary health care, as he was in obscure consciousness, and we started evacuating to link up with a mobile intensive care unit and hospital evacuation.

"The baby fell without encountering anything during the fall, it is a miracle he was still alive, I have no other way to explain it."

Parents told medics that a bar from the balcony uprooted when the baby was sitting on it, and he fell down.

Jerusalem police reported that preliminary examination indicates that he apparently fell after a bar came off, and that investigations into the circumstances of the case are being held.

Please daven for the child Nathanel Yehoshua Ben Avigail for Refuah Shleima.

Spokesman of Hachovesh Har Nof, Eliyahu Eliovitz said this evening that the child is suffering from internal bleeding in the stomach, and a number of broken ribs.
