Final: Ma'ariv sold to Shlomo Ben Zvi

Vice President of the District Court in Tel - Aviv, Varda Alshich, confirmed this afternoon (Tuesday) the sale of the newspaper Ma'ariv, to businessman and publisher of Makor Rishon, Shlomo Ben-Zvi, while the sale of the printing press, to the real estate developer, Amos Maimon.

What led to the approval was a collective agreement and additional employee hiring, signed between the workers' union and the representatives of Ben Zvi.

Following the agreement no one opposed to the acquisition, and therefore it was approved.

The total amount of the transaction is 145 million shekels.

A funding Group will pay 65 million for the printing press, and the Ben - Zvi group will pay up to 80 million for the newspaper operations, magazine and website, as well as the debtor's obligations for the purchase of Ma'ariv.

Also, an agreement was formulated between Ben - Zvi and the printing press purchaser, Amos Maimon, to continue employing employees at the printing press.
