Within less than twelve hours, Gab"d of 'Chanichei HaYeshivos'-Hgr"m Gross and his Beis Din carried out six conversions, three circumcisions, a wedding and Sheva Brachos and all-within the same family.
The process began on Sunday, at the Maale Adumim Beis Din, and ended towards 22:00.
The story began a few months ago, when an orthodox couple who have been married for eleven years, and converted at a young age, the suspicion regarding the conversion of the woman arose. The couple investigated and at some point decided to turn to the Av Beis Din in Maale Adumim, Rabbi Avraham Deutsch.
They brought before him the conversion permits they went through many years ago, and told that throughout the years they give birth to five children, whose Judaism is also in doubt.
Rabbi Deutsch listened to the details, and promised to research the subject together with the Dayanim at his Beis Din.
After weeks of investigation, during which Rabbi Deutsch consulted with Gedolim, it was decided that the mother and her children must go through another strict conversion.
Rabbi Deutsch, a student of Hgr"m Gross, set the conversion for Sunday morning.
Towards 10:00 on Sunday morning, Hgr"m Gross arrived, accompanied by a few close members, to the Beis Din-there the couple and their children were waiting for them.
At first a short discussion was held, but deep between the Dayanim at the Beis Din and Hgr"m Gross: Is it a priority conversion or strictness conversion. Later, the Beis Din brought the questions up obligated according to Halacha, before the woman, and following that the conversion process began for the children.
Three of the children also went through the process of circumcision as part of the conversion. At the circumcisions the Dayanim who witnessed the process acted as Mohel's and Sandak's. According to one witness, each Bris took more than half an hour, and it included all the Brachos and naming the child again.
Following that the families were taken to the Mikvah, in order to complete the conversion process.
Then Hgr"m went to daven Mincha at the Kollel in Maale Adumim, and at the conclusion of the davening he gave a short lecture to the students at the Kollel. In parallel a new discussion came up: Are the couple permitted to live together or do they need to go through the Chuppa and Kidushin process again?
At the end it was decided to hold the Chuppa and Kidushin at the home of Rabbi Deutsch which included a Seuda.
The Beis Din secretary went out shopping which included a Kesuba, ring and food for the seuda.
Hgr"m Gross acted as Mesader Kiddushin for the couple.
One of the witnesses told B'Chadrei Charedim: "It was a very moving experience, Hgr"m danced more than he had danced at his own children's weddings." At 22:00 right after Sheva Brachos, Hgr"m Gross returned to Bnei Brak and the couple returned to their home.
