"There was a time we were very close, even our families were close, but Benjamin Netanyahu decided to cut off contact with me," Aryeh Deri complains in his new film to be broadcast tomorrow in the 'Mekori' program by channel 10.
Aryeh Deri, who returned to the leadership of Shas has been documented in the film for the past three years. In the film Deri is seen in Italy wearing a white hat, learning English and speaks to the camera without inhibition.
Among other things Deri criticizes Eli Yishai, exposing the rift that exists between him and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and expresses his disapproval.
Will there be consequences in the next coalition?
Note that in an interview given by Aryeh Deri to David Rothenberg and Sari Roth, here in B'Chadrei Charedim, Deri was asked: Would you say it is good today to go to the government with the left wing?
"Look, there is no real left wing today... I'll never forget how one of our greatest warriors was Ariel Sharon, who was then considered to be the most loved amongst the Rabbanim. While he was around, they would treat him like a Mashiach Ben David ...
with his large Yarmulke he captured everyone's hearts ... that it's a shame he did not learn Talmud, he knew how to speak beautifully ... he turned us into traitors, so to speak, that we are partners in the left wing government. I was not in his government during the disengagement (Gush Katif), but no left-wing government dared to do what he did with tearing communities apart. The same happened with the other right wing leaders, Ehud Olmert, Tzipi Livni ... the Left wing today is not left and the right wing is not right. Unfortunately, everything today is for personal interests and ideologies are almost non-existent. In my opinion, it is better for the orthodox parties to be part of a national unity government ".
