Boruch Dayan Ha'emes: Yesterday (Sunday) in the USA, the Kashanover Rebbe, Hrh"z R' Chaim Dovid Halbershtam zt"l, one of the elders in the Belzer chassidus, passed away at the age of 87.

The Rebbe, who is one of the offspring of the Divrei Chaim of Tzanz, served as the president and founder of the Center of Belz Institutes in the USA and acted extensively over the years for the success of the institutes in Israel with great devotion.

He was an active personality for Torah and Mitzvos, who did not take credit for himself.

During this last Succos, he was in Israel and spent time with the Belzer Rebbe, who would honor him and receive him with awe and respect.

His coffin is being taken by plane to Eretz Hakodesh, and his levaya will leave on Monday night at 22:30pm from the large Beis Midrash in Kiryat Belz, Jerusalem, to Har Hamenuchos where he'll be buried.

The Shiva: his son, Harh"c R' Yechiel Michel will sit in the USA, his son Harh"c R' Yisroel Meir will sit on 2 Kedushas Aharon st. in Beit Shemesh.
