Hundreds arrived yesterday (Motzaei Shabbos) to the Beis Midrash on 57th Street and 10th Avenue in Boro Park to celebrate along with the bochur Yoel Zeev Goldstein, who was released last year after a lengthy prison term in Japan.

Goldstein was on his first visit to the U.S. since his release.

The Executive Committee in the U.S. which worked behind the scenes for his release, held a "reception" party for him, in which lawyers who worked on his acquittal, activists of various chassidus, wealthy personalities who funded the costs of his attorneys, and more.

Goldstein appeared with his father, amazed by the love and warmth shown him by the hundreds of people who had never seen or met.

Since his acquittal, Goldstein has been undergoing physical and mental rehabilitation, studying at the Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem and trying to get back to normal life.
