Over Shabbos searches were held in Bnei Brak after a boy of 14, son of a family who came to visit on Shabbos from the city of Ashdod, who was missing since Ma'ariv on Friday night. On Shabbos afternoon he was found alive and well on the outskirts of the city.

On Friday night, after prayer, the family members left the shull nearby Gan Varsha on Rabbi Akiva Street, towards the hosts - the missing boy's brother on Kehillot Yaakov st. One family member, 14 years old, told his father that he walks faster and began to walk alone.

When they reached the house where the family visited, they discovered that the boy has not yet come home. They waited until after the Seudah - and then went to look for him. After a few hours passed since he was missing, they contacted the Hatzala Gush Dan organization, and asked for their assistance. The volunteers were also joined by Hashomrim volunteers.

On Shabbos afternoon, when the missing was still not found, the family contacted the Hatzala Gush Dan organization, who set up a command room on Donolo street, where the organization's offices are located.

Over 700 volunteers came to the command room, who belong to the congregation of the missing person, where they were divided into groups which scoured the whole of Bnei Barak, including the outlying neighborhoods.

Hagaon R' Yehudah Silman oversaw the targeted searches conducted from the Ichud Hatzala center, while Arab paramedics from Kfar Kassem performed the actions which involved Chilul Shabbos. An ambulance of the Ichud Hatzala and an ambulance of Ezer Miztion drove about in Bnei Brak and declared the description of the missing person.

Later on a command room was also opened at the Hatzala Gush Dan offices on Rabbi Akiva Street in the city center, from which hundreds of volunteers continued the search for the missing.

18 hours since he became absent, he was found on the border of Bnei Brak and Ramat Gan, well and sound, but exhausted, and was returned to his family.

Ushi Shlomovitz, chairman of Hatzala Gush Dan recounts: "Around midnight on Friday night the boy's father turned to the organization's person on duty, and told him that his son went with him to the shull and was gone. We immediately opened a front command room for searches, and divided the city in various sectors and sent volunteers. After hours of searching in vain, I went up to the president of the organization, Hagaon Harav Wazner, who ordered to go around with speakers throughout the city. Thank God the boy was found a few hours after we went out with loudspeakers by a group of Gur Hasidim yeshiva students sent from the command post. "

Ephi Feldman, Branch Manager of Ichud Hatzala - Bnei Brak, told Behadrey Haredim: "We are pleased the boy was found and returned to the bosom of his family when he is well, all searches were made under the provisions of the rabbis of Bnei Brak and under the supervision of Hagaon R' Silman shlita. I thank all the volunteers from Ichud Hatzala Bnei Brak and many residents of the city who left their homes and their families for many hours during Shabbos in order to assist in the searches and I certainly hope they will not have to use the services again of the missing detection department of Ichud Hatzala Bnei Brak".

Eye witness: "I took part in the searches. The Gur chassidus has a lot to be proud of. The ones who went out en masse, were Gur Hasidim. I saw 700 yeshiva bochurim and avreichim of Gur franticly begging to be given an address / street to search in."
