Escalation in south. Israeli Air Force attacked Gaza Strip

Palestinian sources in Gaza reported shortly before midnight, that the Israeli Air Force attacked a outpost of Hamas security forces in southern Gaza Strip, located in the former settlement of Netzarim.

During the attack the outpost was empty and there were no security personnel in it. There were no casualties in the attack.

A short time later it was reported that another goal was attacked in Al Zeitoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza. In all cases, no injuries were reported.

The IDF Spokesman said that aircraft of the Air Force attack during the night a terror activity center in northern Gaza.

"A precise hit to the target was identified. All our planes returned safely to their bases."

They further added that the attack is a response to high trajectory fire into Israeli territory.

"The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers and will continue to operate against anyone who activates terror against the State of Israel. The Hamas terrorist organization is the address and bears the responsibility."
