Tonight (Wednesday), in the second televised debate between incumbent President of the United States and the Republican candidate, Barack Obama fought back at Mitt Romney.
Broadcast networks CNN and CBS published surveys by which Obama won by 7% lead over Romney.
According to the CNN network survey, president Obama gained the trust of 46% of the viewers in the conflict compared to 39% who believed in Romney. According to the CBS survey 37% of viewers believed Barack Obama, compared to 30% who believed his opponent.
The conflict took place in Long Island in New - York, where they took questions from the audience; 80 undecided voters selected by the Institute of surveys. Questioners were selected by the debate facilitator, CNN television network journalist Candy Crowell.
Obama attacked Romney a lot claiming he is not telling the truth and the political exploitation of the security situation in the United States and the world. Obama referred to the murder of the American ambassador in Libya, he said, immediately after the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi he ordered to reinforce security there and other embassies of the United States.
"Romney had a completely different response. When we were still dealing with the threat, Romney went out to the media and tried to make political points. That's not how the Supreme Commander is supposed to work," the president said.
Instinctual conflict
Even so, Romney also gave a good and determined performance.
Romney accused Obama because he invests his money outside the U.S. "Mr. President, did you check your pension fund?" Romney said. "It's not big like yours, so it does not take that long," Obama said sarcastically.
Romney attacked Obama's foreign policy: "Look at what is happening in Syria, Egypt, and now Libya. See the distance between us and Israel, as the president said he was going to separate us from Israel," Romney said.
"Iran is closer to a nuclear bomb. Syria is not only a disaster of 30,000 dead civilians, but also a significant player for strategic America. The President's policy in the Middle East was an aplogoy campaign and leadership led from behind, and that is what we have seen evolving before our very eyes."
The most instinctual debate revolved around the issue of attack in Libya.
Romney accused Obama of going out to campaign while Americans were being killed in Benghazi and who did not call the event "a terrorist act". Obama, in response, repeated his slogan several times "Romney is not telling the truth."
Next confrontation will take place on Monday.
