Alan Guz, a paramedic and Jewish ambulance driver in the municipal ambulance company in Brooklyn, drove a few minutes before Sabbos towards his home in Flatbush.

On the corner of 26th Street, a vehicle that came towards him, went off course and hit him.

Rescuers and police arrived and took him in a moderate condition to the Corny Island hospital, near the scene.

When he reached the hospital, 52-year-old Guz got a heart attack and died instantly.

Guz, 52, is survived by his wife and family, who are grieving and shocked.

At the funeral which took place today (Sunday) in Flatbush, the Maspidim told of a paramedic who assisted and helped every Jew with the goodness of his heart. "We've lost a loved one, we will miss him very much", people said in Flatbush today.
