Extended detention for the Brosh Rabbi: He will be pressed with charges

The Beersheba Magistrate's Court extended today (Sunday) the arrest of Rabbi Yehuda Rosilio, who is suspected of stealing Torah scrolls from the synagogue in Brosh, until Tuesday, when he will be indicted and released from custody.

Partners in the decision to extend the detention were rabbi's lawyer, Raffi Litan and state representative, Ophir Golan, subject to the decision to press him with charges which will be held at 13:30 on Tuesday.

It is believed that the reason why the police decided to recommend an indictment for stealing seven Torah scrolls in the relatively early stage of the act is due to his great cooperation in the investigation, his confession and giving information of the people he sold the scrolls to.

As noted, on Tuesday, charges will be pressed against Rabbi and he will then be released under restrictive conditions
