Another shocking affair of the degradation of the dead by the Forensic Institute of Medicine.
The family of a girl killed in a terrorist attack filed a lawsuit against the Institute of Forensic Medicine, headed by Professor Yehuda Hiss, which argued that part of their family member's skull was sent to burial together with the terrorist who killed her, according to reports in Channel 10.
The family says the act was committed without its knowledge and an array of negligence on behalf of the Forensic Medicine Institute and its head at the time, Prof. Yehuda Hiss.
In addition, family members say that even after some of the skull was re-buried in the victim's grave, they discovered that some of the remains were still at the Institute, and so they had to hold another burial for murdered.
"The conduct of the Institute has severely hurt our emotions, the fact that some of her skull was buried along with the terrorist who murdered her has crippled us emotionally," they said.
The members of family claim millions of shekels as compensation from the Institute of Forensic Medicine and Professor Hiss personally, but do not specify an exact amount.
