Police authorities called for the communities help in detecting a car - model Jeep Liberty year 2006-2007 which hit an Orthodox 17 year old girl - severely injured on the night of Hoshana Rabba.

Police officer David Zilberstein reported that the hit and run car accident took place on Sunday evening, at the intersection of Kennedy Boulevard and Clifton Avenue.
An eye witness reported that the 17-year-old girl had crossed at a pedestrian crossing when the car came along speeding, hit her and threw her into the distance. The vehicle fled the scene, leaving the girl on the road, with a severe head wound.
She was taken by the Hatzalah to the local hospital 'Jersey Shore Medical Center', in serious condition.

Officer Zilberstein says that the speeding vehicle was damaged, and that parts found in the area of the accident indicates the type of the vehicle.

Zilberstein called for the communities help and any eye witnesses to call 732-363-0200 in Lakewood.
