Baruch Dayan Ha'emes: in Monsey USA, the Rabbinical Nagid Harh"C R' Menachem Mendel Ashkenazi z"l, died on Sunday, after a short disease, at the age of 58.

He was born as an only son to his father Harh"c R' Shmuel Shmelke Ashkenazi yibadel lechayim, Rav of the Tiferes Shmuel Beis Midrash in Queens.

In his early years, he learned Torah in the Brisk and Sfas Emes Yeshivos in Jerusalem, and even learned and was tested by Hagaon R' Moshe Feinstein zt"l.
He was one of the greatest Chessed supporters, lover of Torah and its learners, founded and established Torah places alongside his modest ways.

He was close to the Rebbes of Gur zt"l and yibadlu lechayim, the Rebbe of Gur, was considered one of the biggest supporters of institutions and even served as a member of the world council of the 'United Gur Institutions'.

He left behind his father, yibadel lechayim, his wife, tc"y – daughter of R' Yissochor Berish Rozman, and his son-in-law and daughter of the Shweid family.
His levaya took place on Sunday in the USA, and his coffin arrived in Israel on Monday.

His levaya left at 14:30pm from the Shamgar levaya house in Jerusalem through the Beis Midrash of Chassidei Gur on Ralba"ch street, and at 15:30pm on Shenler Square, on the way to the Chassidim's section in Har Hamenuchos where he was buried.

May his soul be cherished for eternal life.
