Hagr"c Kanievsky to businessman: burn iPhone

Histeria of iPhone 5 conquerring the world? This morning (Sunday) the Yated Neeman newspaper publishes the instruction of Hagr"c Kanievsky in answer to a question by a businessman who owns an iPhone, which he greatly needs for business purposes.

According to the paper, Hagr"c instructed that one is forbidden to hold it, and must burn it, and "it is forbidden to sell it to a Goy, as the law of selling weapons to a Goy, according to the words of the Gemora in Avoda Zora 15b".

The report about Hagr"c Kanievsky's instruction, joins the campaigns which are published in local hareidi newspapers, under the heading: "iPhone owner! The entire Am Yisroel is davening for you – 'bring us back in repentance before You'", next to a picture of a hareidi man talking on a cellular phone.
