Liquidation and thwarting: three terrorists who planned an attack – liquidated in Rafah

In a joint action of the IDF and the General Security Service, the Israeli air force attacked a short while ago, in the east of Rafah, south of Gaza, a squad of terrorists which belongs to the El Akza fighters' organization. According to the Palestinian report, three terrorists were killed, and their bodies evacuated to the Abu Yusuf A-Najar hospital.

The Hamas news site, SAFA, reports that the victims belong to the border guard and tunnel force of the Hamas ministry of interior.

The blogger, Yoni Alfer – "Terror Watch" reported that it was a white Toyota jeep which went up in flames and was burned down as a result of the attack. The passengers - Nasrala Nidal, Ashraf Mahmud Tzalah and Anis Mahmud Abu el Anin, were killed instantaneously. One of those killed is the brother of Hamas senior member, Ahmad Yusuf.

The activist, Anis Mahmud Abu El Anin, 33 years old from Rafah, an activist in the El Akza guards organization which works under sponsorship of the Hamas in Gaza. Anis planned to execute a terrorist attack in the rear of Israel which was in last stages of preparation, and was thwarted.

Anis was involved over the last years in additional attempts to execute attacks by the El Akza guards which included an attempt to smuggle charge from the Gaza strip through Egypt to the territory of Israel. In addition, he directed terror activities in the area of Judea and Samaria.

Along with him, Ashraf Mahmud Zalah was killed too. He was 33 from Rafah, in the past an activist of the opposition committees who was interrogated and admitted being involved in transferring two terrorists to Egypt for the sake of a suicidal attack in Israel. Zalah was also involved in commerce of weapons.

The IDF spokesman informed: "The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli citizens and Israeli soldiers and will continue to act steadfastly and powerfully against any factor which will activate terror against the State of Israel. The Hamas is the address, which bears the responsibility" it said in the announcement.
