The Tznius Askanim have found a new field for battle – and this time: men's clothes.
Over the last day, a letter has been disseminated in the hareidi concentrations, on which Rabbonim in the hareidi public are signed, to be careful and strengthen the tznius borders and articles of clothes.

But if we were used to letters of this sort over the last few years, which were mainly aimed at the women of the haredi public, this time – in a surprising way, the letter actually addresses the men: "Since during the last period the tznius of men's clothes also needs Chizuk and fixing in the issue of the kedusha of our public, we would like to reveal Da'as Torah that every Jewish man must according to the law of the holy Torah, dress tzniusly in wide and tznius clothes," it says.

The only piece of clothing which was mentioned explicitly in the letter is trousers: "It is a severe issur d'oraysa to wear tight clothes like the goyim, as it says "Bechukoseihem lo telechu" and wearing tight trousers is Assur also for the above reason".

At the end of the letter it says: "And anyone who dresses that way is a sinner and one who causes the public to sin, and it is a great obligation to protest about it".
Among those who are signed on the letter are Hagaon R' Yizchak Yosef, the son of Hagr"o Yosef and Rosh Yeshiva of Chazon Ovadia, Hagaon R' Yosef Liberman, Rosh Yeshiva of Kolel Shomrei Hachomos, Hagaon R' Azarya Bassis, Chief Rabbi of Rosh Ha'ayin as well as other Rabbonim.

On the other side of the letter, pictures of Rabbonim and Gedolei Yisroel have been attached, among them the Belzer Rebbe zt"l, Hagr"a Hillel, a Jew from Turkey and others, seen wearing wide clothes. On the upper part of the advertisement, quotes on the issue were brought, such as the words of the Maharsha in Maseches Shabbos: ""One's clothes hint at his Middos".
