Bochurim from Israel stole from Tzedaka boxes – and chased from London

Hareidi London is raging: a group of youngsters who are Israeli residents, part of whom belong to well known chassidus groups, were chased off by the hareidi kehilla from the country, after being caught with the security cameras while stealing moneys on Shabbos from Tzedaka boxes in the city.

The documentation of the bochurim reached the Hashomrim organization, who laid their hands on them. News reached Behadrey Haredim that the primary documentation came from the security camera of one of the shulls, from whose tzedaka boxes a substantial sum was stolen.

Following the instruction of the Rabbonim of the organization, it was decided that its heads will not turn the bochurim in to the police, but will give them a clear ultimatum to return the stolen money and leave the country immediately afterwards, otherwise Hashomrim will be forced to involve the British police.

The organization's volunteers made this message clear to the youngsters, and even made sure to connect them with an acquaintance in Israel who transferred money to them to pay for the theft and for return tickets to Israel. Afterwards they gave over the money and returned to Israel.

A Stamford Hill resident related in a talk with Behadrey Haredim: "The Hashomrim volunteers refuse to talk about it in the media for the simple fact – they too have connections with the police and it mustn't know of the deal which was made with the youngsters. During the last day the rumor of the story spread, and as a result it reached the media in Israel".
