A money changer was robbed this morning (Tues.) on Jabotinsky street in Bnei Brak.
The incident occurred close to 11:40am next to the Geha intersection. A money changer who travelled in his car noticed two motor cyclists approaching him, one of them drew close to his window and showed him some kind of certificate, which was similar to a policeman's card, and instructed him to park on the side of the road. The second motor cyclist came to the second door, drew out a knife and threatening him, demanded the bag which contained the money. Since he had noticed that the motor cyclist who instructed him to stop was armed with a gun and handcuffs, he innocently thought that it was a policeman, but when he understood that it was a robbery, it was too late.
The robber took the bag of cash from him, with a sum of 450,000 NIS, and the riders fled from the place. The money changer tried to chase them, but the robbers managed to quickly flee from there.
The Dan district police opened an investigation.
