First time: Badatz went down to Goloventziz area. Exclusive

After more than a year of delays in building in the Goloventziz demarcated area in Beit Shemesh, on Wednesday evening the heads of the Badatz Eda Hareidis, headed by the Gab"d Hagy"t Weiss and the Rab"d Hagr"m Sternbuch, arrived in the area to see and follow the sides in the matter from close by.

As known, the problem of the graves in the area, as was reported at length in Behadrey Hareidim, has been going on for about a year and the question is: are the burial caves in the site which are according to the characteristic from the middle Bronze Age, graves from a Jewish era and therefore should not be desecrated, or are they from a different era. At "Asra Kadisha" they claimed that their people saw bones, and they are sure that the burial caves are from a Jewish era and therefore one should delay the building.

Lately, the sides have tried to reach a solution, but all efforts failed.
Then came the first turnabout in the stormy argument : the Badatz Eda Hareidis decided to get involved because of the fact than more than 1000 families paid the best of their money for the apartments in the project, and as long as its building is delayed, they are losing out.

Last week, as was revealed in Behadrey Haredim, a few of the members of the management of Badatz, accompanied by the external supervisor, R' Rephael Lifshitz, arrived in the area. Today it seems that that was an introduction to the visit of the heads of the Badatz Eda Hareidis.

The one who was present on behalf of the Asra Kadisha organization is the chairman, Hagr"d Shmidl and other activists.

For almost two years the heads of the Badatz heard the claims of the sides, and the final decision will be soon reached in the session of the Beis Din.
