A group of avreichim was rescued Tuesday night from an active fire are of the Golani brigade in the north.

A call was received at the emergency center 1220 of Zaka from a group of hareidi hikers who lost their way during a hike.

It seems that the group of 15 avreichim, residents of Jerusalem, went out on a hike at Hurvat Kazion, east of Hatzor, an area part of which serves as a fire zone of the Golani unit.

The avreichim lost their way and after a few hours of walking in the dark they turned to the Zaka center for help.

The Zaka campaign officer Haim Weingarten alarmed the officer of the rescue unit Yehoshua Lavi, who made contact with the group.

While talking with one of the members of the group, he found that the hikers are found about 3km into the depth of an active fire zone of the Golani brigade.

In response to the question of the commander of the rescue unit why they entered the fire zone, the avreichim answered: "A friend of ours said that they don't shoot here".
Lavi instructed them how to get out of the fire zone, while in the meantime he informed the officer of Zaka-north, Hezki Farkash, who updated the relevant factors about what was happening so that they could instruct to discontinue the training in the area, so that the hikers would not be hurt.

A police vehicle from the Rosh Pinah station was rushed to the scene, and police forces accompanied the hikers outside the fire zone.
