Palestinians threw stones close to the Nablus Gate on buses on the way to the Kosel. 16 passengers injured – among them 8 children. Eight casualties evacuated to hospital

On Motzaei Shabbos Palestinians threw stones towards buses making their way to the Kosel, 16 people needed medical care. Six were evacuated for medical treatment in hospital.
On Motzaei Shabbos, a little before 12 pm, a call was received at the MDA center about throwing of stones towards Egged buses in the area of Sultan Suliman street, close to the Nablus Gate.
The two buses, no. 1 and 3, continued to drive until the Gate of Refuse, where the MDA, Hatzala and Ichud Hatzala paramedics awaited them. The incident started when policemen of the border guard arrested two residents of Eastern Jerusalem who were suspected of hitting a Jew who passed in the area of the Nablus Gate.
The paramedics helped 16 casualties – among them 8 children, who travelled on the two buses, and received a barrage of stones. Among them were 14 casualties from one bus, and another two, among them the driver, from the other bus.
MDA ambulances evacuated five casualties to hospital. Another casualty was evacuated in a jeep of border guards to the Hadassah Mount Scopus hospital.
The Hatzala spokesman informed:
"The on-call paramedics of the Hatzala team stayed at a late night hour in the emergency ward of the Hadassah Mount Scopus hospital in Jerusalem, accompanying and supporting the children and their families.
"Altogether eight casualties arrived at Mount Scopus, whose condition was defined slight. The on-call paramedics helped locate the families who were worried and searched after their dear ones. Thanks to their care and help and the devoted treatment of the emergency ward, the casualties are receiving devoted and calming care after the harsh trauma they went through".
