Surprising plea bargain with the "Butcher from Boro Park"

The Daily News exposes: the attorneys of Levi Aaron managed to cook a plea bargain for their client.

Next Thursday, the 9th of August, the sentence of the "Butcher from Boro Park", Aaron Levi, who murdered the 9 year old child Leibi Kletzky z"l in a devastating way, will be given.

The court case will receive a worldwide review from the media.

According to the report, the prosecution arrived at an agreement with the attorneys of Aaron, and the sides reached the plea bargain, according to which he will admit his crime and meet out a verdict of 40 years in jail.

According to the American law, would Aaron have been convicted of intentional murder and kidnapping, it would have been expected that he would be sentenced to jail for life. Those were also the expectations of the family, and therefore it is not clear whether the family agreed to the reduced sentence.

One of the family members said that, "We expected that the murderer would never see daylight again, but perhaps there is no other judicial option".

A member of the jury, Dov Haikind, said in response: "There is a deal, but until the court says its word, thing might change.

"The family must live with this shocking murder until the end of their lives. The judicial procedure is not something which the family wanted to live through, but they want to make sure there is justice".

Haikind said that he intends to read a letter on behalf of the family in court, but he emphasized again that until Thursday, nothing is final. "At any moment someone can change his mind," he said finally.

In the prosecution they did not respond to the matter. But not one of the murderer's attorneys denied it.

Meanwhile, in the Daily News it was reported that a few days ago the family was informed that a son was born to Leibi's parents.

In the last seating which was held in court, those present were surprised to see Aaron's new look: he was seen sitting on a chair, a large black yarmulka on his head, wearing a dark shirt with long sleeves, with a long beard which appeared on his face, and 22 extra kilograms on his body.

The exact reason for his quick gain of weight has not been determined so far. But Aaron, 36 years old, has been taking psychiatric medicines which could be the main reason for the unusual gain of weight, so his attorneys claim.
