About 40 hareidi demonstrators arrived on Wednesday morning at an archeological site close to the Mesilat Zion settlement in the vicinity of Beit Shemesh.
The first group of demonstrators, which numbers about 20 Kanoim arrived closed to 10:30 am with the goal of protesting about the excavations, which to their claim, involve the desecration of graves. Later on, a second group, which also numbered a similar number of demonstrators, joined them.
Still later on Rabbonim arrived and said chapters of Tehillim and a special Tefilla.
The police arrested until now 5 demonstrators for violations of order.
The photographer Yaakov Lederman told Behadrei Hareidim: "The two first demonstrators who were arrested, were tied by their hands by the police and put into the police van. They managed to escape a few meters, but were brought back by force into the van and taken for investigation".
Lederman testifies that the fact the demonstrations are being held close to Road #38, in the excavation of the fifth line of water to Jerusalem, caused that a few vehicles which travelled on the road to be involved in slight road accidents.
During the phone call he testified: "The police is checking one of the demonstrators as suspect of causing a slight road accident between two vehicles".
Last week, the police arrested 10 demonstrators in the same place, part of them were released.
