A new tour program which started this week in the southern suburbs of Tel Aviv, will enable a glimpse into the phenomenon of infiltrators. During the tour one will be able to learn of the infiltrators' way of life in Tel Aviv, alongside meeting the veteran residents of the south of the city, whose life has turned into hell over the last three years.
The guided tours are organized by activists from the suburbs, who are aided by public figures with the purpose of exposing to the public the real situation in the south of Tel Aviv.
The tour, which takes place twice a week, in groups of 15 people and is booked in advance, starts in the Levinsky park, which the residents name the "induction center" of the infiltrators.
The illegal immigrants come to the park in buses directly from the living facility "Saharonim" in the south, and spend most hours of the day and night in the park. During the tour, a special emphasis is placed on the shulls in the area, whose yards have turned into bathrooms for most of the infiltrators, and part of them have been deserted after walking to and from them has become dangerous, mainly at night.
One of the deserted shulls is the "Yesod Hama'ala" synagogue, the oldest shull in the area.
Among others, the visitors can watch a lively selling point of stolen goods, mainly bicycles. Further on in the street one can see the drug addicts' yard.
