Hagr"c Kanievsky left his home on Rashbam street in Bnei Brak on Monday, and travelled – on a rare occasion – to the grave of the Shunamis in the Arab village of Shunam, close to Afulah.
Hagra"c, who barely leaves Bnei Brak, last visited the grave of the Shunamis 25 years ago.
The grave of the woman Shunamis, whose son was revived by Elijah Hanavi, is known as a place of Segula for those who need the blessing of fruitfulness, and Hagra"c Kanievsky himself used to send people there, since in this place a miracle of savior for a barren woman and of Tchias Hameisim was done.
Up until a few years ago, one could see a cave on the site. Today the grave is underneath a wall of stones whose head is round, and next to it is a square for prayer.
The village, which is also called "Sulam" is not considered hostile, and its Arab residents are hospitable to those who visit the place.
