Shock in Crown Heights : Hagaon R' Yitzchak Tzirkind zt"l

Baruch Dayan Ha'emes: In Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Hagaon R' Yitzchak Tzirkind zt"l, one of the neighborhood's Rabbis, was niftar at the age of 57.

The deceased zt"l was born to his parents, יבלחט"א, Hagaon R' Eliezer and his mother Mrs. Reizel.

One of his Talmidim told Chadrei Chareidim tonight: "He was a tremendous Talmid Chochom, and greatly helped the residents of the neighborhood. Over the last few years he served as a Posek for the many residents of the neighborhood, and sat as one of the Dayanim in the local Beis Din.

For his living he worked as an accountant at the Beis Rivka Seminary. He was beloved to everyone, and a real Ohev Yisroel. He dedicated his entire life to serve the Tzibbur.

His sudden death shocked all his acquaintances and friends.

He left behind his wife Tsherna, תחי', his children: Yehuda Behr, Sholom, Breina, Nechama Dina Milki, Menachem Mendel, Adella, Chaya Mushka and Yosef. His brother: Yehoshua Shlomo Gershon, Sheina Rochel Shmidt, Shaza"k(?), Yaakov Mendel, Yehuda Michael, Chaim Nachman, Dovid and Chinka.

The levaya will take place tomorrow (Tues.) in Crown Heights
