Wedding Rescheduled – Ill Mother Just Makes it

Mrs. Yaffa Glick a”h of Borough Park, was sadly nifter this past Friday in Maimonides hospital at the age of 57.
The nifteres a”h was diagnosed with cancer after Pesach and since then has be suffering greatly as she went through the intense treatments in attempt to save her life.

Recently, after Succos her young daughter got engaged. The wedding was scheduled to take place on Lag Baomer, but the doctors weren’t sure they had that much time. Being Gerer Chassidim, the family consulted with the Gerer Rebbe who told them to make the wedding earlier and promised that the nifteres will be at the wedding.

The wedding took place two weeks ago. The chupah was held in the hospital room and the wedding reception was held in the Vitznetz hall in Borough Park.

The mother was nifteres this past Friday.
Just a few hours after the petirah the family received the news that a new granddaughter has been born.

As soon as shobbos was out the aron was sent to E”Y, and levaya left on Sunday to Har Hamenuchos.

Doctors would come to see her simchas hachaim

For over 40 years Mrs Glick a”h was devoted to chinuch. First in Israel, then in NY. She left behind 9 children.

A family member tells ‘Behadrei Charedim’ about her: she was a women full of Simcha and would take every hardship in life eagerly. Her moto was “Hodu L’Hashem ki tov”. The doctors in the hospital used to come to her room just to see her simcahs hachaim, regardless her critical health condition.

One of her nursery kids father told us that he felt she treated his son as her only son. She was devoted to the kids with a lot of Simcha”.
