Saved At The Last Moment: IDF Soldier Rescued From Near Lynch

An IDF truck carrying equipment mistakenly entered the Arab town of Seir late Sunday night. The soldier driving the truck took a wrong turn and instead of entering the Jewish town of Meytsad, which has an army base at its entrance, entered the nearby Arab town of Seir.

The driver was immediately attacked by wild Arab rioters who pelted the vehicle with rocks and other projectiles and prevented the truck from leaving the town. PA police noticed the commotion taking place, and sent forces to the area to rescue the trapped soldier. At the same time, the soldier radioed in his predicament and called for backup.



The soldier was B’’H rescued by a joint effort of the IDF and ‘Minhal Ezrachi’ who rushed over to save him from the lynch.

The soldier suffered minor injuries and was transferred to Sharey Tzedek medical center in Yerushalayim for medical treatment.

The IDF released a statement saying, “A short time ago an IDF soldier was wounded by rocks after he mistakenly drove his truck into the Arab Village of Seir. The soldier was transferred to the hospital to receive medical treatment”.
