Head of the finance committee, MK Moishe Gafne declared this morning(Monday), that his party rejects early elections but is not concerned to stand up to the test if elections are called for.
MK Gafne chose to refer to the political crisis today, although MK’s are on break. Gafne referred to the call for early elections that is being thrown around by various politicians for a week and a half already, after misunderstandings arose between Prime minister Benayamin Netanyahu (Likud), and minister of Finance Moishe Kachlon (Kulanu), regarding the public broadcasting corporation.
In a hearing today, head of the finance committee MK Moishe Gafne opened his remarks by saying that his party rejects early elections, but will not stand as a stumbling block in the way- if in fact early elections is the decision. “We don’t believe that elections is the right thing, but we are not concerned about it, and if it will be necessary- we will go out and vote”.
Although many politicians have been calling for early elections, at the moment, it seems like the storm is subsiding and the current coalition will continue to survive for the time being.
