Stolen Megillah Found In The Heart Of Arab Tul-Karem

A megillah that was stolen last week from a shul in Tzrufah located in northern Israel, was found during a raid on a house in the Arab city of Tul Karem.

At the end of last week MAGAV (borde police) detectives arrested two illegal Arabs aliens from Tul-Karem, after they were caught breaking into a warehouse and attempting to robe valuable equipment, in the town of Beis Yitschok in the Sharon.

The two were taken in for interrogation and admitted to being responsible for many robberies and break-ins thru ought Israel. The investigation also revealed that the stolen goods from the many robberies were being held in a home in the Arab city of Tul- Karem.

Thanks to the information provided by the interrogation, police raided one of the suspects home and found a trove of stolen artifacts worth tens of thousands of NIS.
During the raid, police arrested a male in his twenties suspected of being involved in the robberies, and took him in for interrogation.

While police were combing through the home in Tul-Karem they came across a Megillahs Esther written leiluy neshmas a deceased. Upon returning from the raid, police started to investigate the source of the stolen megillah and who it might belong to. After some inquires it was discovered that the Megillah was stolen last week from a shul in the town of Tzrufah located on the Carmel coast.

The Rav of Tzrufah was immediately contacted and informed of the exciting discovery.
Yesterday, the Sofer who wrote the megillah together with the Rav of the town arrived at the MAGAV base near Ayal interchange to retrieve the stolen Megillah. In a moving moment, border police officers returned the Megillah to its rightful owners.

The Rav of the town thanked the officers for their brave work and shared with them, that the shul had been using the Megillah for ten years already, and its disappearance caused him great aggravation, especially since it was donated leiluy nishmas a father of one of the town residents.
