Ten new traffic cameras have been installed along the central busy city streets of Bnei Brak. The cameras have been put up along rechov Ahronovits and on its subsequent rechov Kahaneman, all the way to the “Coca Cola” junction, which run along the length of Bnei Brak.

The cameras will only operate during the weekdays and will photograph parking violations such as cars parked in a “Do not park” zone, or a double parked and will automatically issue tickets; which will arrive in the mail. The Cameras are expected to curtail the massive traffic jams along Bnei Brak’s main streets.

City officials say that the situation on these main but narrows streets, which also run the main bus routes in and out of the city are constantly getting worse. With the constant introduction of new cars onto the roads, the traffic jams keep growing, and on any given day the entrance to Bnei Brak is full of traffic jams.

The officials are optimistic that the new cameras will help relieve the traffic situation somewhat.
